Welcome to tâpwê Innovation

tâpwê Innovation is an Indigenous-owned research and governance consulting practice based in Victoria, British Columbia. We work with First Nations, governments, organizations, and academic institutions to co-create trauma-informed governance tools, research frameworks, and culturally grounded policy education.

tâpwê Innovation is grateful for the opportunity to live, work, play, and create respectful relations on the unceded territories of the Songhees, Esquimalt, and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples, whose deep relationships with these lands continue to this day. As an Indigenous-led practice, we strive to uphold the languages, laws, and teachings of these territories in how we govern ourselves working with all our relations.

We also acknowledge that much of our work takes place within digital and virtual realms — the online spaces that connect us across territories. As nêhiyawak, whose teachings speak of our relationships to the stars and the spaces between, we honour these digital pathways as extensions of our responsibilities to all our relations. Whether gathering in person or through screens, we strive to uphold respect, reciprocity, and good governance in every space we enter.
